Web Sites

Here are a selection of screenshots from various commercial websites websites I've built (click thumbnails for full size shots).

GameTrack.org

GameTrack.org is a site started by myself, Chris Staley, and someone we know down in Florida, who is also hosting it for us. (At a coloc in Texas that gets incredible bandwidth prices)

The engine that drives GameTrack is a Java server that polls many hundreds of Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam game servers around the world, once each minute. It then takes all of that "score snapshot" data, and collates it into entire games, taking into account not only the player's personal performance, but also under what conditions it was achieved. For example it looks at how packed a game is, how the teams stack up against each other, etc. This allows us to assign Difficulty Factors (shown in the Game Details screenshot, third one down) which allow us to assign scores with better accuracy than other similar sites.

Anyway, the point is, I wrote the tracking engine, but did not design the actual web site layout (although most of the content is generated by code I wrote). So the real "star" in the following screenshots is not really the site site design per se (I did do the logo though), it is the actual content of the pages and what it represents. In other words, probably terribly uninteresting to anyone who's not an online games enthusiast (and probably them too). ;)
